How it all began .........

Michael Joyce the company has grown from a small gift shop in Auckland city’s quaint Strand Arcade, to a thriving importing and distribution company supplying quality homewares to specialist shops and department stores. This transition has taken over 60 years and has spanned 3 generations of family involvement. During this time however there have been two integral constants, a desire to sell well designed quality products and a dedication to service and excellence.

Over the three generations of family involvement, there has always been a desire to build and improve on what has previously been achieved. At the same time we have always been forward looking, keeping what we have learnt and valued from the past but adopting new technologies and embracing change in product design and innovation. This has seen us constantly changing our product mix as new trends in home interior design and product functionality evolve. It has also seen us focus on sources of supply with whom we have a certain synergy.

Today we see ourselves as a tight, forward looking importing and distribution company, specializing in fine European homewares that have a strong focus on design, quality and functionality.
