WMF Steak Pan

It’s designed for one job above all: a perfect sear. WMF’s Rapid Heat Control technology heats the pan quickly and spreads that heat evenly across an ultra-flat base, so steaks brown uniformly and build a great crust. You can sear on the cooktop, then finish in the oven for steakhouse-style results at home. It’s just as good for chops, chicken, fish and vegetables.

Rapid Heat Control is WMF’s multi-layer construction, with an aluminium core inside a Cromargan® stainless steel exterior. It heats up fast and responds quickly when you turn the heat up or down, giving you precise control at high temperatures.

Yes. The inside has a non-stick coating, so you need only a little oil or butter and food releases easily. The outside is finished with WMF’s heat-resistant Duraquarz® coating, which keeps the pan easy to clean.

Yes. It works on all cooktops, including induction, gas, ceramic, electric and halogen.

Yes, it’s oven safe up to 250°C. The hollow stainless steel handle stays cooler on the cooktop, but it will get hot in the oven, so always use an oven glove.

Yes, it’s dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand washing in warm, soapy water to help the non-stick coating last longer.

To protect the non-stick coating, we recommend wooden, silicone or nylon utensils. Avoid abrasive scourers and steel wool when cleaning.

Add a little high-smoke-point oil, such as avocado or canola, before heating. Don’t leave the pan heating empty or let liquids boil dry. Let it cool before washing, as cold water on a hot pan can warp it, and dry it thoroughly before storing. Our frying pan care guide has more tips.

The WMF Steak Profi is made in Germany.

Your pan is covered for manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal household use for 10 years. The warranty doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, including gradual wear of the non-stick coating over time, or damage from overheating, accidents or not following the care instructions. Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act also apply.
